Immediate Dentures – Smile Confidently Right Away

At Bespoke Denture Clinic, we understand that losing teeth can be a difficult experience, and going without teeth is not something anyone wants to endure. That’s why we offer immediate dentures — custom dentures that are ready to wear the same day your teeth are extracted, allowing you to leave our clinic with a full, beautiful smile right away.

WHAT ARE IMMEDIATE DENTURES?

Immediate dentures are prosthetic teeth that are created in advance and inserted immediately after your natural teeth are removed. This allows you to maintain your appearance and functionality while your gums heal, eliminating the need to go toothless during the healing process. Unlike traditional dentures, which are fitted after your gums have healed, immediate dentures offer an immediate solution.

The Benefits of Immediate Dentures

Immediate dentures provide several key benefits:

Instant Confidence:

You never have to be without teeth. Immediate dentures ensure you leave the clinic with a full smile, maintaining your appearance and self-esteem during the healing period.

Smooth Transition:

Immediate dentures allow you to get used to wearing dentures right away so you can adapt to speaking and eating with them during the healing process.

Protection for the Gums:

Immediate dentures can act as a protective barrier for your gums, helping to reduce swelling and protect sensitive tissues as they heal.

Maintained Facial Structure:

By filling in the space left by extracted teeth, immediate dentures help maintain the structure of your face, preventing a sunken appearance while you heal.

Our Immediate Dentures Services

At Bespoke Denture Clinic, we specialize in providing immediate dentures that are custom fitted for both comfort and aesthetics. Our services are available in Victoria, Colwood, Metchosin, Langford, the Westshore, and Sooke. Our team carefully measures and designs your dentures before your extractions, ensuring they are ready to wear the same day your teeth are removed. This means you can walk out of our clinic with a full, functional smile that looks natural and feels comfortable.

We guide you through the entire process:

  • Pre-extraction consultation and measurements to ensure a perfect fit

  • Custom-crafted dentures designed to provide a natural look and feel

  • Follow-up care to adjust the dentures as your gums heal and change shape

Healing Time

During the first 6 to 8 days, you will learn to chew properly using your new teeth. Over the course of the next 6 months, you will also need to see your denturist for adjustments to your dentures. This is because over time, as your gums will heal, they will also shrink, thus causing your dentures to become loose. You may also require temporary liners during this time. Once the 6 months have elapsed, you may also choose to be fitted with a hard reline.

What Else to Expect?
  • Appearance: In the days following the insertion of your dentures, you may experience a sense of fullness, along with an excess of saliva, gagging, and difficulties swallowing. These will disappear over time as you get used to the dentures. Your facial expressions may also seem strained at first but will gradually improve as you continue to wear your dentures.

  • Speech: You may notice a thickness or a lisp in your speech pattern initially.

  • Eating: We recommend avoiding biting off food with your front teeth as you learn to chew with your new dentures. It is also recommended that you eat mostly soft foods in the beginning.

  • Tenderness: You may experience some soreness in the beginning. This will improve as you keep wearing your dentures. Frequent adjustments with your denturist will also help.
